Bwlch y Fedwen is a substantial Grade II listed stone-built house located in the village of Penmorfa, about two miles from and overlooking Porthmadog.
The house dates from the early seventeenth century, and was part of the Wern estate until around 1970.
The house has a varied history, having been an Inn, a farmhouse, guesthouse and holistic retreat, as well as a family home.
There are even tales that the old stable, now converted into a separate dwelling, was once the local brothel!
The house is located literally on the border of the Snowdonia National Park - the border actually runs along the road outside the house.
We are less than three miles from the nearest beach at the picturesque village of Borth-y-Gest, or four miles from the famous Black Rock sands.
Bwlch y Fedwen is an ideal base from which to explore the natural beauty of the mountains and valleys of Snowdonia or to visit the numerous attractions and activity centres that the area has to offer.
There's so much to do - why not come and visit?
